Herbert Thrailkill

Mr. Herbert “Herb” Thrailkill, 84, of Atlanta died Wednesday, July 7, 2010.  He graduated from the University of Georgia and proudly served his county in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Thrailkill was a member of Hapeville Baptist Church.    He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane C. Thrailkill; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Thrailkill; sister, Augusta Madge Thomas; cousins, Dorris  Martin and the late Richard Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son, Herbert “Ed” Thrailkill, Jr.; brother, Billy and Beulah Thrailkill; uncle and aunt, Herbert and Lucy Thrailkill; sister-in-law, Ellen Rittenhouse. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Bill Lacy, Rev. Bob Wylie and Rev. Michael Simpson.  Interment to follow at Roseland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
