Herschel E. West

Mr. Herschel E. West of Atlanta, GA died Tuesday, November 29, 2005. He was a member of Embry Hills United Methodist Church. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. Mr. West retired after 35 ¢ years with AT & T where he was a manager. He was a long time Republican. He is survived by his wife, Frances West; son, Emory & Kathy West of Conyers; granddaughters, Beth McCollough of Monroe, GA, Melissa Bennett-Jersey of Social Circle, GA; great great grandchildren, Kylie, Sydney, & Landon; step daughters, Judy Henry of Raleigh, NC & Susan Richards, of Tampa, FL; and sister, Doris Walker, Jonesboro, GA. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Embry Hills United Methodist Church. Rev. W. Mark Sargent will officiate. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Mr. West will lie in state at the church from 10 to 11 AM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to Embry Hills United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at A. S. Turner and Sons.
