Jackson Cody Stenhouse

October 27, 1983 — September 11, 2022

Jackson Cody Stenhouse

Cody was born on October 27, 1983, and passed away suddenly but peacefully on September 11, 2022, at his home in Atlanta, Georgia.  Born in Atlanta, he started his world travels early and began his schooling in Chalfont St. Peter, England.  Cody moved to Roswell, Georgia upon the family's return to the States, and immediately became an avid and life-long Braves fan as he followed their string of spectacular successes during the 1990s.  A high point of his time at Mountain Park Elementary in Roswell came when he was excused from school through a note from his parents saying he had an appointment with Doctors Avery, Glavine and Smoltz, so that he could attend the 1991 World Series Parade in downtown Atlanta.

While attending Roswell High School Cody continued his travels, accompanying his younger brother Joe on a school trip to Egypt and performing with his older brother Jeb and a select group of the Roswell High Chorus on a Christmas concert tour in several cities throughout Italy.  He later attended Auburn and Georgia State University.

Cody loved all sports, and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his friends in his fantasy football league.  He was eagerly anticipating serving as Co-Commissioner for his league as the new NFL season was getting underway.  Cody was devoted to his family, and was always there to provide help whenever any family member needed it.  He loved all forms of family occasions, like summer vacations with his grandparents in Florida, serving as usher at his brother Jeb's wedding, and taking on his new role as Uncle Cody to his niece Jessie.  Cody was also devoted to the family dogs.  He founded the Stenhouse tradition of rescuing beloved black dogs, bringing the first one home from a pet adoption fair which was being run by his Boy Scout troop in Roswell.

Cody is survived by his parents, Pam and Scott Stenhouse, his brother Jeb Stenhouse and his husband Mark Klein, his brother Joe Stenhouse and his wife Julie and daughter Jessie, his grandmother, M. Hill Burton, his many friends, and his dog Gal.
