James W. Long

James W. "Billy" Long went home to be with Christ on August 23, 2017. He grew up in the Scottdale community attending the Alliance Church. He spent his later life in Gwinnett County being a faithful member of Ingleside Presbyterian Church.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Roy C. Long, his mother, Dorothy M. Long and his sister, Mary Jane Perkins. He is survived by his wife, Libby, and his daughter, Kelly Sparra, and her husband Bob, his son, Roy, and grandchildren, Alex and Max Sparra.


Bill enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and golf while later in life playing pool. He would meet with friends at George Pierce Park Senior Center in Suwanee participating in camaraderie with them around the pool table.
