Jeneal Benton

Jeneal Leonard Benton, age 75 of Tucker Georgia arrived safely into God's heavenly kingdom on Sunday June 29, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeneal was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida and attended the University of Georgia where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She moved to Atlanta in 1961 where she met Gene Benton and married in 1963, settling in Tucker, GA to raise a family. Her loves in life were God, family, friends and Rehoboth Baptist Church where she was a member of the Radiant Bible Class. She enjoyed volunteering at Briarcliff Methodist church and as a member of the Junior League of DeKalb County. Jeneal is survived by her husband Gene; mother, Evelyn Bothwell Leonard Burns; children, Christina Benton Kramer (Chris), and Dr. Boone Leonard Benton (Coralie); grandchildren Taylor Benton, Kendall Kramer, Matthew Benton, and Abigail Benton; uncle, David Sutton Bothwell; cousins, Linda King McWilliams, Rebecca Bothwell Pluta, and others. Visitation will be Tuesday July 1, at AS Turner and Sons Funeral home in Decatur Georgia from 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of Jeneal's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Bush officiating with reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by memorial contribution to Rehoboth Baptist Church Increasing His Kingdom Fund located at 2997 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA. 30084.
