Jerrold Mcdonald

Jerrold McDonald of Decatur, Georgia passed away on January 17, 2013. He was born in Orlando, Florida on February 20, 1953, to the late Marion M. McDonald, Sr. and Myrtice Mitchell McDonald. He graduated from Jonesboro High School. He was an avid lover of animals and horticulture and a huge Beatles fan. He is survived by daughter, Heather of Atlanta and son, John and wife, Alexis of Chicago. He is also survived by brothers, Marion M. McDonald, Jr. and wife, Peg of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Floyd E. McDonald and wife, Tammy of Weston, West Virginia and Calvin (Mac) McDonald of Concord, North Carolina, an uncle, Fred E. Mitchell and wife, Beth of Marietta, Georgia, and great-aunt, Agnes Hill of Conyers, Georgia, and three nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 3:00PM in the chapel at A. S. Turner Funeral Home, Decatur, Georgia. Reverend Jeana Fortenberry will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerrold's memory can be made to the World Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 97180, Washington DC, 20090 or the Salvation Army. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00PM until 3:00PM @ A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
