Jesse Wade Atkins, Sr., 69, of Stone Mountain passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Born January 28, 1947, in Atlanta, he was the son of the late George Clinton and Edith Mae Sexton Atkins.
He is survived by two sons, Malik Klein Ward of Stone Mountain, and Jesse W. Atkins, Jr.; step-daughter, Melinda Ward; step-son, David Ward; two granddaughters, Angelina and McKenzie Ward; grandson, Tristan Ward; brother, Chris Atkins; sister, Diane Eller; three nieces, Kimberly, Anna, and Leah; nephew, Doug; and many more family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory with a service to follow at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel.
