John Henry Rebhann

John Henry Rebhann, Jack to his friends and family, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather joined his heavenly father on July 22, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Fuhr Rebhann, 3 children: Christina Rebhann Marlow (James), John Wallace Rebhann and Laura Rebhann Reichwald (Norman), 9 grandchildren: Marion Marlow, James Marlow Jr, Bryan Marlow (Katrina), Grace Case (Jeremy), Heather Failyer (Brian), Christin Pye (Richard), Joshua Reichwald (Hillary), Sarah Bruyere (Joshua), Molly Stein (Daniel), 15 great grandchildren: Evelyn Marlow, Andrew Marlow, Ian Marlow, Thomas Cloutier Jr., Ryker Case, Trinity Failyer, Aiden Failyer, Colton Pye, J.D. Pye, Mackenzie Pye, Augustus Reichwald, Hope Bruyere, Noelle Bruyere, Zachary Jackson, and Shelby Pye.

Jack was born in Roslyn, NY on December 8, 1920. He grew up Garden City, NY, attended prep school at Kent School In Kent Connecticut, and Columbia University where he obtained a BA in Business.

He left Columbia University during his senior year to join the Army and served as a signal corpsman in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. When the war ended he returned to Columbia University to finish his degree.

Jack began working in the insurance industry in New York after college. He was subsequently transferred to Georgia. He obtained his CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) classification.

Jack enjoyed sailing, camping, weather forecasting and his family. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke you wanted to listen. He had a great business and investing mind.

People who knew him described him as a man of integrity, wonderful, kind, wise and smart. At over 100 years of age he was sharper than many people half his age.

Jack will be greatly missed by his friends and family. We can rejoice that he was able to live his last days in his own home and with a sound mind.

Graveside services will be at 1 PM on Monday, July 26 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Clairmont Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.
