John Holt Parham

John Holt Parham Jr, originally of Columbus Georgia, went home to be with His Lord and Savior Feb 7, 2013. He is survived by son Larry, daughter Marsha and missionary sister Ann Collins. His Grandchildren: David and John Dickson, Melissa Maughan, Julie Duggar, Stefanie Parham, Hannah and Emily Parham and 10 Great grandchildren; cousins Ray and Sissy and family. He was husband to Sara (Amos) of St Pete from 1946 to 2006; they were affectionately known as Buddy and Bunny. His eldest son, John Holt Parham lll, died in Viet Nam, Memorial Day 1970.
John served as a Marine on Marshall Islands. He returned to meet new neighbor Sara; it was love at first sight. She ran home to wait his phone call and within minutes he did asking, "Where have you been all my life?" Her ready reply, "Waiting for you big boy!" They danced together in the joys of life and stood together through the storms as one. They moved to Atlanta in 49 going into business with his father, John Sr. He became a well loved businessman, President/CEO of Parham Enterprises receiving honors from the industry he eventually anchored in and inducted into the Georgia Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame as pioneer and initiator for positive progress in the field. His business associates became as family with Donnie Russell being a primary to his success and much like a son to him when he lost his own.God is good.
Buddy loved flying, golf, business, family adventure and friends. He gained much respect for the integrity he maintained throughout life and as a man of faith in his Lord. He spoke gently and walked tall. He is much loved by all his family and friends. That is a good testimony! We release him to his eternal journey and reunions and joy found in Christ Jesus.We love you Dad, Granddad, Great Granddad.See you later!
