John Mecaslin Burke

Mr. John Mecaslin Burke of Decatur died Monday, November 24, 2008.  He served his country during World War II with the U. S. Army. He was the retired owner of Atlanta Mailing and Printing Co. with over 40 years of service. Mr. Burke was a 30 year member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and a member of the choir. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sara Ansley Burke; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and David Weathers of Lilburn, Becky and Rich Klima of Avondale Estates and Cathy Burke of Snellville; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kitty Burke of Marietta, Michael and Gina Burke of Tucker; sister, Alice Boucher of Dallas, TX; and six grandchildren.  A Mass will be held 10:30 a.m.on Wednesday, November 26th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Father Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home, 760 Pollard Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30315. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
