Julie Two Cass Suess

Julie Two Cass Suess, faithful servant, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on February 20, 2012 surrounded at home by her partner, family and friends in Decatur, GA. Julie was born a premature twin on June 16, 1945. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Julie One, at birth. She is a descendant of parents Gina Kruzic Wilcox of Chicago and Alonzo Beecher Cass of Los Angeles. Julie is survived by beloved life partner Tara Ann White; sons Benjamin Eric Suess (Reven) and Andrew Tyler Suess (Katie); granddaughters Isla Beggs Suess and Leila Papillon Suess; sisters Nicholas Cass (Henry Spencer), Liza Cass White (Stuart), Linda Cass Gilbert, Christopher Cass; "Other Mother" Lee Hogan Cass; brother Timothy Cass (Nenita); many nieces and nephews; and the family of Rufus Mason White of Brewton, AL. Julie was passionate in all aspects of her life. She was a devoted mother to her sons, a loving and supportive spouse, and a fabulous sister, daughter and friend. Her laughter and joy of life will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Julie devoted herself to many careers during her 66 years, ranging from homemaker, hospice worker, massage therapist, ordained minister with Metropolitan Community Church, and social justice advocate. Wherever she went, Julie created communities of love and grace. Julie's commitment to education began at an early age at Ojai Valley School (1960). She was a graduate of The Katharine Branson School (1963), Atlanta School of Massage (1985) and Interdenominational Theological Center (1994). Services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033 on Sunday, February 26th at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, Julie and Tara Ann request that donations be made to CaringBridge.org, which has served as a life line of support. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25th from 6pm-9pm at A. S. Turner & Sons.
