Kenneth Duane Pew

September 12, 1930 — November 9, 2014

Kenneth Pew, 84, of Lilburn transitioned to his Savior on Sunday November 9, 2014. He was a beloved minister in Fairfield IL, Santa Rosa CA and the Atlanta area since 1955 to children, elderly, and every person in between. Countless individuals were positively impacted by his selfless service and devotion to God in his roles as preacher, teacher, mentor, counselor, singer, administrator and friend. Ken is survived by Barbara Pew, his lifelong soulmate and co-minister of 58 years, affectionately known as "Ken and Barbie"; his son, Mark Pew and wife Patti and grandchildren Nathan and Rachel; his brother, Jim Pew and wife Jean; his sisters Twyla McKee and husband Clyde and Nancy Lohmann and husband Roger; brother-in-law Chuck McNeely and wife Jane; many nieces and nephews; hundreds of friends. A celebration service will be conducted at Mt. Carmel Christian Church on Sunday November 16 at 1:30pm, followed by visitation with the family and a reception (to include lots of desserts, his favorite). In lieu of flowers, well-wishers are asked to send contributions to Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Stone Mountain, North Atlanta Church of Christ in Dunwoody, or Christian City in Union City. A. S.
