L. Dee Miller

Mr. L. Dee Miller, 85, died Thursday, February 14, 2008.  A native of Atlanta, Mr. Miller was an active and beloved member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church for over 25 years.  He was a retired superintendent for the U. S. Post Office after 30 years of service.  Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Daniel Miller.  He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Dee and Faye Miller, Tommy and Sue Miller; daughter, Susan Jones; grandchildren, Dee Miller IV, Brett Miller, Tommy Miller, Jr. Melissa Miller, Melanie Miller, Mary Beth Miller, Amber Silver, April Meadows, Amy Schuman, and Dean Jones; and eight great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, February 18th at Smoke Rise Baptist Church with Dr. Robert F. Browning officiating. Mr. Miller will be placed in state at the church beginning at 9:30 A.M. Interment, Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
