Lashawn Brown Bonner

After a prolonged illness, LaShawn Renee Brown-Bonner, age 43, made her transition into eternity early Tuesday morning, April 12, 2011, while vacationing with her husband, Johnny H. Bonner, Jr., in Puerto Rico. She was born to Clarence Wilbur Brown, Sr. and Gwendolyn Louise Nunn-Brown on December 15, 1967, in Gary, IN. LaShawn attended the Michigan City, IN, School System during her elementary years and the Glenwood, IL, School System during her high school years. She furthered her education at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff, AR; Ft. Lauderdale College, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA and Everest University, Orlando, FL. Additionally, she completed and excelled in multiple on-line Health Care curriculums. Her entrepreneurship in the Health Care and Consulting Industry put her in a place of great demand. In January, 1990, LaShawn made Atlanta, GA, her home. Here, she met the love of her life, Johnny H. Bonner, Jr. and on September 25, 1999, they joined hands in matrimony in the all-romantic Poconos Resorts, Poconos, PA. LaShawn was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Louise Nunn-Brown, one brother, Clarence Wilbur Brown, Jr., both maternal and paternal grandparents, and an aunt, Donna Brown-Rias. She leaves to cherish her memories, a most loving and devoted husband, Johnny H. Bonner, Jr.; her one and only beloved son, Kenron Charles Brown, both of Atlanta, GA; father, Clarence W. Brown, Sr. of Trail Creek, IN; sister, Rhonda Bourn of Michigan City, IN, two brothers, Arthur Williams of Los Angeles, CA, and Kevin D. Brown of Indianapolis, IN, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, and other relatives; Step-mom (AKA: Lil Mama), Darlene Liddell-Brown; two special friends, Patricia Hamilton, Yvette Archer and many others. The Funeral service will be Monday, April 18, 2011, at 11:00AM in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, with internment to follow in Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt.
