Latasha Andrea Steele

Latasha Andrea Steele, 33, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday August 2, 2015. She was born January 22, 1982 to John W. Barnes, Jr. & Linda Jane Steele-Horn in Aliceville, Alabama where she attended elementary school and later moved to Tuscaloosa and graduated from Central High School, class of 2001. She joined the U. S. Navy in July 2001 and received an Honorable Discharge in 2008.. She lived in Florida, California and later moved to Decatur, GA. She attended Kaplan University & UEI School of Medicine, where she earned her Registered Nursing Degree. She was a home care nurse until her health failed. She made a commitment to the Lord and joined in holy matrimony in February 2004 to Robert Fagan to which her daughter was born. She received and confessed to Christ at an early age at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Aliceville, AL, under the leadership of Pastor Lonnie Weaver who conducted her services. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tenako Barnes, and great grandmother, Janie Gibson. She is survived by husband, Robert Anthony Fagan. son, Tamaree Camsmith; daughter, Tieree Fagan; step sons, Dominique & A. J. Fagan; parents Linda Jane (Curtis) Steele and John W. Barnes, Jr. four sisters, Jalynn Horn, Johnita Hamilton, Ayunna London & Jasmine Barnes; two brothers, Jonathan T.(Carla)Steele and John Barnes, III; grandmother, Mary G.Steele; grandparents, Mordine & John Barnes, Sr.; Godparents, Ike & Lawanda Gipson; five aunts, Carrie Murry, Dorothy Peterson, Jennifer Steele & Jackie Barnes and Janet & Jermaine Harkins; two uncles, Ike & Lawanda Gipson and William Steele; four great aunts, Sarah Adams, Mattie Gibson, Loretta Speight & Diane Davis; two great uncles, Clarence Gibson & William Steele; special friends, Brandy Roberts & Rani Azzi. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives & friends that will miss her dearly.
