Lawrence O'Neille Lanford, age 60, of Buford, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009. He is survived by his wife and love of 40 years, Pam Martin Lanford, his son, Scott Lanford, family members, Charlotte & Dick Sanders, Keith Martin, Chris Martin, and extended family; along with his motley crew of life long friends and co-workers. Born and raised in Decatur, GA, he loved all sports and enjoyed years of officiating high school football and baseball games. In 1969, he began a long, successful career with Ivan Allen Co., which was later merged into Staples, and for the past 40 years he faithfully served his clients. He was dedicated to his family, friends, and church and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, GA at 12:30 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2009, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm.
