Lee Irene Hart

Lee Irene Hart of Atlanta died peacefully at home on Monday August 30, 2021.

Lee was born in Birmingham, AL to Fay Long Hart and Luther S. Hart, Jr. on March 11, 1950. She is survived by her two brothers, Stan (Marcia) Hart of Birmingham and Mike (Mari) Hart of Atlanta, and four nieces and nephews: Morgan Hart (Dave Kampe) of Charleston, SC and Claire Hart (Matt Gorum) of Birmingham, Patrick Hart of Atlanta, and Drew Hart of Brooklyn, NY.

Lee graduated in 1968 from Berry High School in Birmingham and received a bachelor's degree in art education from Auburn University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. After graduation she worked as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines, then as a teacher, and finally as a real estate agent. She was a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, an avid reader, and a devoted dog owner. She enjoyed gardening and lake living.

The family plans a private service and requests that in lieu of flowers any expressions of remembrance be directed to the BarkVille Dog Rescue.
