Leo Burtz Pittard

Mrs. Leo Burtz Pittard, 88, of Atlanta died Tuesday, August 28, 2007. She graduated from LaGrange College in 1937 and taught third grade at E. P. Howell Elementary School in Atlanta for 35 years. Mrs. Pittard was a member of Haygood Memorial United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James E. Pittard; nieces, Jeannie Burtz Penland of Gainesville, GA, Marty Burtz Hale of Hiawassee, GA; and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Haygood Memorial United Methodist Church at 11a.m. Saturday, September 1st, Dr. Bob Winstead and Rev. Renfroe Watson officiating. Mrs. Pittard will lie in state 30 minutes prior to service time. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park.
