Lillie Ruth Brewster

May 6, 1937 — January 4, 2010

Our Queen, Mrs. Lillie Brewster arrives into her sunshine on May 6th 1937 to the late Minnie Settles & the late James Settles. She was born in Henry County as the oldest of her siblings. She worked for Fulton County School Board for several years, where she later retired, to go raise her grandchildren, who needed her. She was a person with warmth and a loving heart, who could cook you the best soul food you could eat. That was Mama!! The Lord called our Queen home to be with him on January 4th, 2010. She now goes to join her loving children, Elizabeth A. Duffey, Robert L. Brewster, Calvin Brewster, Angela Brewster, and Barbara B. Brewster; also she goes to join one grandson, Carl L. Bonner.  Leaving here to carry on her memory is her long loving companion, Mr. Larry Taylor; her six children, Joyce A. Bonner, Shirley A. Pullins, Diane A. Robinson, Michael Brewster (Althea), Patricia Wallace, and Sharon D. Brewster. She also leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Bertha Spencer, Fannie Strickland (John), and one brother, John W. Settles. The Queen had 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grand, 3 great-great-grand, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who loved her.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 9 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Pastor James Watts officiating.  Interment, Kennedy Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 7 -8 PM Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons
