Louise Owens Mulkey

Mrs. Louise Owens Mulkey, 88, of Tucker, GA, died Saturday, November 02, 2013. She was a native of Marion County, GA, and a long time resident of Tucker. She retired from E. R. Squibb & Sons (now part of Bristol-Myers Squibb) with over 35 years of service in 1987. Prior to her time with Squibb, Mrs. Mulkey worked for Davison's Department Store and also for Lockheed during World War II installing rivets in the B-29 aircraft. Mrs. Mulkey was a member of Tucker United Methodist Church and very devoted to her husband and extended family. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Mr. Billy Wood Mulkey; her sister, Frances Owens Moon (Herbert) of Americus, GA; brother, James E. Owens (Mary) of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, Ruel Lester Bradley; sister-in-law, Erma Owens of Montgomery, AL; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, David and Dorothy Owens; her sisters, Grace Owens Theus and Virginia Owens Bradley; and brother, Alvin L. Owens. Services will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home followed by graveside services at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Monday prior to the service. The Reverends Owen Skinner and Jimmy Moor will officiate.
