Louise Selby Fitzpatrick

December 4, 1915 — November 7, 2010

Mrs. Louise Selby Fitzpatrick died early on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Having grown up in Birmingham, Alabama, graduating from Phillips High School, she worked at Phillips and at Forbes Piano Company before marrying and moving eventually to Atlanta, where her husband, Thomas C. Fitzpatrick, was employed with Cudahy Meat Packing Company. A full time mother, homemaker and caregiver, following her father's death, she was employed as Assistant to the Bursar at Emory University for many years. In retirement, she volunteered in the offices at Druid Hills Baptist Church. A lover of home, family, dear friends and the beauty of nature, she enjoyed music, reading, creative projects and supporting her Atlanta Braves. Her memory is treasured by her remaining family: her son, Mr. Noel Thomas Fitzpatrick and her daughter, Mrs. Lois Ann Lawless; her grandchildren: Mr. Noel Thomas Fitzpatrick II, Mrs. Meghan Whitsel, MSG Timothy Lawless, Mrs. Keren Morris, Miss Stephanie Lawless, Mr. Chris Shiver and Mrs. Amy Waters; her great grandchildren: Madeline Harper Whitsel and Marlowe Hannah Whitsel, Sean Jacob Morris, Callum Nathaniel Lawless, Benjamin and Nicolas Shiver, and Selena Waters; her nieces and nephews: Mrs. Ruby S. Ragland, Mr. William Selby, Mr. Robert C. Osburne, Mr. Stephen P. Osburne, Mr. Tom Frazier, Mrs. Janice Blevins, Mrs. Patricia Bridewell and Mr. Richard P. Swaim and their families. A graveside service will be held this Saturday, November 13th, at 11 a.m. in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville. Memorial donations would be very much appreciated for the A. G.
