Lurline Patterson

Mrs. Lurline Patterson, age 74, a long-time resident of Tucker, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones following a courageous battle with breast cancer on Monday, October 15, 2007. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son Chris and his wife Debra, and her two cherished granddaughters, Caroline and Catherine.  Other survivors include her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Sam Boozer, and Patty and Ed Young, and several nieces and nephews. Born in Monroe, Ga. to Maggie and Milton Perkins, Lurline graduated Valedictorian of the Class of 1950 at Clarkston High School. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at A.S. Turner & Sons at 2773 N. Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA followed by a private interment.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or Crossroads Hospice of Atlanta, 1957 Lakeside Pkwy., Ste. 500, Tucker, GA 30084.   The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home.
