Lorraine Margaret Rumps of Atlanta, born September 7, 1924, died September 15, 2009. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by those whose lives she touched during her wonderful life of 85 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald Rumps; son, Karl Rumps; sisters, Lillian Halvorsen and Marion Smiglee; parents, Julia and Raymond Cole. She is survived by nine children, Karen Budacz, Kurt Rumps, Kathy Murphy, Kris Rumps, Kim Campbell, Kevin Rumps, Kolleen Rumps, Karoline Brennan and Kenneth Rumps; 16 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Lorraine will always be remembered for her sweet smile, and warm, giving heart. A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Friday, Sept. 18 at 10:30am followed by a graveside service in Arlington Memorial Park. Father Patrick Kingery and Monsignor Richard Lopez will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 5-8pm with a rosary service at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur.
