Margie Nell Nicholson

Margie V. Nicholson, 94, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Sunday December 23, 2012. She was born in Nacoochee Valley, GA to Joseph and Nellie Vandegriff. Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Morgan Nicholson Sr., three sons; Jerry M. Nicholson, Mack M. Nicholson Jr., and Larry M. Nicholson. She is survived by her daughter; Mary Rowland; daughter-in-law: Gail Nicholson; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday December 29th in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Dr. Frank Crumpler officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to St. Mary's Hospice, P.O. Box 6588 Athens, GA 30604 or to The Huntsman Foundation, 500 Huntsman Way Salt Lake City, Utah 84108. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
