Mrs. Marguerite Tolar Walters 91, of Decatur died Sunday, January 11, 2009. She was a member of Druid Hills United Methodist Church since 1945 and a volunteer with the DeKalb Medical Center Auxiliary. Mrs. Walters was a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Lynnwood Eugene Walters, and her parents, Thomas Hay Tolar and Laura Floye Brooke Tolar. Mrs. Walters is survived by her daughters, Patricia Fontainne Walters Schoenfeld of Mansfield, GA, Laura Linda Walters Garris; and grandson, Shannon Lynn Garris, both of Social Circle, GA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13th at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Rex Kaney officiating. Interment will be Studdard Cemetery in Social Circle. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
