Marilyn Louise Tobias

Marilyn Hettinger Tobias, 71, of Stone Mountain, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 27, 1938, she grew up in West Palm Beach, FL and then moved to the Atlanta area. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Tobias was a business owner for many years and a homemaker. She loved to read books and had an endearing love for animals. She attended Presbyterian College and Chowan College, where she received her Associates degree. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Marshall Edward Tobias of Stone Mountain; son, Brad Tobias of Tucker and daughter, Karen Register of Cumming, son in-law, James Register and grandchildren Abigail 18, Chandler 15 and Rivers 9, all of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by her sister, Becky Litz (husband Bob Litz) and brother, Paul Wood, all from Madison, GA. Memorial services will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Larry T. Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service A. S. Turner & Sons.
