Marjory H. Beard, of Decatur died Sunday, February 1, 2009. She served as an officer in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Mrs. Beard was a surgical nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 30 years. She attended Lakeview Baptist Church and was a master quilter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Beard, Sr. and her son Charles Edwin Beard, Jr. Mrs. Beard is survived by her daughters, Charlene Beard and her husband Martin McKinnon of Decatur, Becky Mueller and her husband Cliff of Lilburn; son, Kenneth Beard and his wife Cynthia of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Dee Jay Beard; five grandsons, Matthew Beard, Kenneth Beard, Jr., Mac McKinnon, Jonathan Beard, Ryan Mueller; three granddaughters, Emily Beard, Margie McKinnon, and Meredith Mueller. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Guy Priester officiating. Interment, New Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A. M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
