Mary Hopper Helton

Mrs. Mary Rose Helton, age 70, of Decatur passed away November 1, 2009. She was a longtime member of the Crossroads Bible Church in Decatur. She was preceded in death by brother, Troy Hopper and is survived by her husband of 44 years, Hoyt Helton; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Carol and Percy Hurtado; grandchildren, Percy Hurtado III, Michael Hurtado, Andrew Hurtado and Carolyn Hurtado; brothers, Floyd Hopper, Roy Hopper and Harvey Hopper; sisters, Mable Gregory, Betty Sue Allen, Carol Lee Henry and Wanda Pritchett; and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Crossroads Bible Church with Dr. Edward L. Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crossroads Bible Church or the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM at A. S. Turner and Sons.
