Mary Jane Farr

Mary Jane Hadley Farr , 82, of Decatur, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, whom she loved dearly , on July 29, 2014. She will always be remembered for her sweet spirit and Godly example as a wife, mother, sister, and friend - the exemplary lady. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1st at 11 a.m. at A.S. Turner and Sons Chapel, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033. Interment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. She was born May 19, 1932 in Foley, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Nelson Farr; by her parents, Ed and Annie Hadley; sisters Edith Hadley and Sadie Swann; brothers, Tommy and Robert Hadley; and her nephew, Joe Daley. She is survived by her children: William (Mercy) Farr of Ecuador; Judy Shifflett of Bluffton, SC; Frances Sheffield of Kansas City, MO; Harry Farr of Tallapoosa, GA; Zemmie (Enoch) Fleck of Alpharetta, GA; Evy Farr of Tucker, GA; and Phillip Farr of Decatur, GA; her sisters Glo Horetz of Conyers, GA and Dolly Daley of Chamblee, GA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Novia Boswell, Joan Nuriddin, and Precelia Scott, her loving and faithful caregivers, who have become a permanent part of the family. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31st.
