Mary Jo Foster

Mary Jo Floyd Foster, age 60, of Cartersville passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 following a brief illness. Born November 11, 1955, in Canton, GA, Ms. Foster was the daughter of the late Jimmy and Frances Floyd.

Ms. Foster was a graduate of Wheeler High School and Chattahoochee Tech and was employed as an electronics technician for over 30 years. She loved scuba diving, travel and was very artistic and creative.

She is survived by her sister, Delaine Floyd and Sam R. Smith; nephews Robbie and Kim Smith and their family, Anna, Nikki and Brock, and Derrick Smith and family, Dustin, Austin and Prestin all of Cartersville. Also surviving is her beloved cat, Smokey.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 11 at 2:00pm at Grace Baptist Church, 477 Old Cass White Road, Cartersville, Georgia with Rev. Ralph Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 at the Church.
