Mary Louise Bayless

Mary Louise Bayless, 94, passed away peacefully in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 2, 2022. She was

formerly from Hazleton, Pennsylvania, born September 18, 1927. She graduated from Hazleton High

School, 1945 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree, from Goucher College, Towson, Maryland in 1949.

She was the daughter of the late George M. Steckert and Mary (Cuzzo) Steckert. Mary Louise was

married to Attorney Kenneth R. Bayless (deceased). She is survived by her three children, George

Bayless (Lily Ary) of Houston, TX; Mollie Korski (Robert), Decatur, GA, and John Bayless (Jan), Harrisburg,

PA and her three loving granddaughters, Rachel Bayless Rossetti, Chelsea Louise Korski, and Allyson

Bayless.

As a long-time resident of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, she was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist

Church. She was a member of AAUW, YWCA, and served with the Meals on Wheels of Northeast

Pennsylvania and the American Cancer Society.

A private family service and interment will be handled by Mountain View Cemetery. The family prefers

memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
