Mary Louise Campbell

Mary Louise Wise Campbell, 93, of Decatur, beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. Born August 23, 1925, in Macon, GA, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Edward Monroe Wise, Sr. and Sarah Louise Roberts Wise. Mary graduated from LaGrange College and was a long standing member of Decatur First UMC. Over the years Mary volunteered at various local charities. She was a fan of college football, her favorite team being Georgia Tech. Mary was an avid reader, loved classical music, crossword puzzles, bridge and enjoyed traveling abroad with her late husband, Dan.

She is survived by her daughter, Claire Campbell; two sisters, Ruth Richardson and her husband, James, Martha Evans and her husband, George; brother, Edward Monroe Wise, Jr.; and many more loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Campbell.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at Decatur Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. David Naglee officiating.
