Mildred Hammack Cavette

Mrs. Neil Cavette (Mildred) of Avondale Estates died Thursday, November 20th in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Neil M. (Hawk) Cavette on November 17, 1998 and her daughter, Donna C. MacConnel1 on May 24, 1999. Mildred was born November 28, 1920 in Washington, D.C. to Gertrude and Ira Hammack but spent most of her life in the Atlanta area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates for 49 years. Surviving are her son, Neil Cavette of Port Townsend, Washington; daughter, Linda Keller and her husband Frank, of Greenville, Georgia; granddaughter, Elizabeth Cavette and grandsons, Rick MacConnell and his wife Marcela, Will Keller and his wife Carrie, Ben Keller and his wife Casey and Aaron Cavette; great grandchildren Hunter, Connor and Caitlin MacConnell, Brooks and Anna Grace Keller, and Sarah Kate Keller. A memorial service will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23rd, with Rev. Jonathan Porter officiating. Visitation with the family will be held beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
