Mothus Sylvester Harris

Mothus Harris was born in Camden, NJ to the late Dorthory Harris and Walter Johnson on September 16, 1960. Mothus was the third last child to his parents. He had a special unique nickname. People that were really close, mostly family, called him "Tootie."
Mothus graduated from a local high school in his hometown, Camden High School, also jokingly named the "castle on the hill" because of it’s similarity to a castle. Mothus loved to travel and was always on the move. Walking was his sport of choice, which he enjoyed. Mothus joined the Army Reserves and proudly served for six years. He was given an honorable discharge in November of 1987.
He worked as a hospital tech serving doctors, nurses, and staff in Syracuse, NY. Next, he was a truck driver in Philadelphia, PA before he left Syracuse. He later met the love of his life, Melody Harris while traveling. They dated for years and finally married on November 17, 2006. They lived in Rochester, NY for afew years before relocating to Atlanta, GA, until his untimely death on Friday, July 24, 2020.
He is survived by 5 children, Jaiden, Porshai, Mothus Jr, Somyia and Quenshawn. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce W. Harris and his sister, Clarissa Harris; nephew, Kevin Harris and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Mothus loved the Lord and was a Christian. He attended Trinity Fellowship and Creflo Dollar’s World Changers, where he fellowshipped. He loved his family and his community, helping anyone he could. Mothus was a simple man. He was a caring, funny, loving man. He was a devoted people person and a family man of God.
