Myrtice Rebecca McDonald, 86, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away on June 17, 2009. She was born on February 2, 1923 in Henry County to the late Fred E Mitchell, Sr. and Lois Underwood Mitchell. She attended Fairview School in Henry County. She attended Artistic Beauty School and was employed for a number of years in the beauty salon at Rich's downtown. She was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class at Wieuca Road Baptist Church. She is also predeceased by her husband, Marion M. McDonald, Sr.; a brother, Mack L. Mitchell, and a daughter-in-law, Wanda McDonald. Survivors include four sons, Marion M. McDonald, Jr., and wife Peg of Lawrenceville, GA; Floyd E. McDonald and wife Tammy of Weston, W.  Virginia; Jerrold McDonald of Decatur, GA; and Calvin McDonald of Concord, NC; brother, Fred E. Mitchell, Jr. and wife Beth of Marietta, GA, an aunt, Agnes Hill, of Conyers, GA; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend and neighbor, Ms. Louise Bragg of Decatur, GA. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, Reverend Michael Tutterow and Rev. Jeana Fortenberry officiating. Mrs. McDonald will be placed in state at 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment will be at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Wieuca Road Baptist Church, 3626 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30326. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p. m. on Friday, June 19, 2009 at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur. A. S. Turner & Sons
