Neil C. Mcinnes. Sr.

Neil C. McInnes, Sr., 82 of Decatur, passed away April 26, 2012. He was born on February 10, 1930 in Glasgow, Scotland to John McInnes and Isabelle Evans. He was a resident of Decatur since 1968 and proudly served in the Royal British Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah McInnes, she passed on December 25, 1996 and grandson, Dirk Higgs, who passed on July 5, 2011. Surviving are his sons, Neil C. McInnes, Jr. of Tucker, Danny McInnes of Buford, daughters, Margaret McInnes of Cumming and Isobel McInnes Higgs of Conyers. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, James, Rebekah and John McInnes; Christine and Patrick McInnes; Peter and Heather Higgs; and one great-granddaughter Jasmine Ramage. The funeral will be Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation. The family will receive friends Saturday 5-8 p.m. at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
