Newell Howard Long

Mrs. Newell Howard Long of Atlanta died Thursday, October 14, 2004.  She retired from A T & T after 42 years of service.  Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Laddie Long; son, Michael Long of Jefferson, GA; brother, Ralph Lee Howard of Decatur, GA, Dwight Howard of Tucker, GA; sisters, Elaine Sims of Decatur, GA, Eugenia Hayes of Statham, GA; sister-in-law, Frankie Howard of Jefferson, GA; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Pastor Tilly Welborn will officiate.  Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1395 Ebenezer Church Rd., Jefferson, GA  30549, or to the A T & T Pioneers Retiree Fund.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
