Noah Parker Peeples

June 2, 1996 — June 21, 2019

Noah Parker Peeples, 23, left this imperfect world for his eternal heavenly home on Friday, June 21, 2019. He was currently taking classes at Georgia State University in pursuit of a degree in VR (Virtual Reality) gaming simulation and design. Technology and especially VR has been his passion since he got his first iPhone at the age of 16. He quickly converted to Android with the appreciation for their open source model which aligned with his desire to share good things with others. Since a small child, he was acting and singing somewhere or other, whether doing puppet shows at home or with his theater buddies at Artios Academies, CreativeHearts, and Oak Grove United Methodist’s drama group. Noah was meek and humble but enjoyed being on stage developing characters and practicing all kinds of accents. He was particularly good at Irish. When he wasn’t acting, he loved to sing in choir and led worship at Clairmont Baptist Church starting as a teenager. Being part of an incredible group of church and drama friends was essential in helping him get through those tough middle and high school years. He loved to learn. Since he was homeschooled K-12, he was able to learn at his own pace and have a well-rounded life education not just limited to basic academics. He had many struggles with Asperger’s type tendencies, but his loving and supportive family and friends made it possible for him to move forward and use his God given gifts and strengths. As a little boy, he enjoyed little league soccer and baseball as well as reading and making up adventure stories in the backyard. More recently he spent time playing board games choosing just the right music sound track to go with them. His biggest passion was VR. He got such joy out of sharing it with others, even his great aunts and uncles at family gatherings. Noah was an integral part of Team Infamous, an E-sports league team that competes with other teams from all over the world. Known as Xcap online, he had a reputation for being a tough competitor and also a gracious teammate. He tried to use his influence for good in the often rough world of VR competition. He loved Jesus, and it showed in how he treated other people. He was often giving his time to help others through church mission trips, running sound on Sunday, helping make meals for others and many other little things. People enjoyed his calm personality and witty humor. He knew without a doubt how much he was loved by those around him, but it wasn’t enough to fight the mental struggle and feelings of being overwhelmed. He took his own life without warning. Our lives will never be the same without our sweet, funny, kind, creative and smart buddy boy. He made this world a better place. He leaves behind his loving mama and daddy, Pam and Stanley, as well as his brave baby brother, Jacob. Also grieving his loss are his grandparents, Broward and Carolyn Peeples and Jean Grier; his aunts and uncles, Jim and Audrey Grier, Darlene and Cameron Moore, Debbi and Bruce Stull; and his very special cousins, great aunts and uncles, and close friends who knew him and loved him just the way God made him. Noah chose to be an organ donor, so even through this tragic loss of his life, he will continue to be a blessing to others.
