Nola Brisentine Squier

February 14, 1925 — August 14, 2007

Nola Brisentine Squier, died August 14, 2007, in Atlanta, following a bout with cancer. She was 82. Born in Prospect, a small farming town in the central piedmont region of Virginia, Mrs. Squier attended public school in Prince Edward County, and graduated from Longwood College, now Longwood University, in Farmville, Va. She later taught Home Economics classes for Henrico County Public Schools, in Richmond, Va. Her family moved to the Atlanta area in 1966. A widow, she loved gardening and long walks, was a frequent volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and was active in her church. Mrs. Squier was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Squier. She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Peggy and Vern Creighton; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ken Lord; and her grandchildren, Ryan and Kristen Milam. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 18 at A.S. Turner and Sons, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, Ga. Visitation begins at 1 PM.
