Pat Thomas

Pat Thomas, 84, a longtime resident of Decatur died Sunday, January18, 2009.  A veteran of WWII, Mr. Thomas served in the United States Navy.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lee Burns Thomas, and great-grandson, Shawn Anthony Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a longtime member of Valley Brook Baptist Church.  Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Terry W. and Donna M. Thomas; grandchildren, Bryan and Tami Thomas, Brent and Anna Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Garrett Luna.  Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, January 22nd at 1:00PM at Valley Brook Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Roper officiating.  Mr. Thomas will lie in state at the church from noon until the hour of service.   Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Valley Brook Baptist Church, 1198 N Valley Brook Road, Decatur, GA 30033 in memory of Mr. Pat Thomas.  Friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00PM at A.
