Patricia "Pat" Whaley Orr

Patricia “Pat” Whaley Orr, 90, of Clarkston died Friday, October 13, 2017, at Silverleaf of Athens, GA. Mrs. Orr was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ivans C. Orr. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, Nov. 4 at Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain. Mrs. Orr was born March 26, 1927 in Decatur, GA, the daughter of Ada Earl Whaley, Sr. and Ida Margaret Hitchcock Whaley. She was a secretary for the DeKalb County Board of Education and a longtime member of the Clarkston United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children Scott Drummond (Sherry) of Hiawassee, Kenneth Orr (Renita) Ball Ground, and Brenda Cotter (Ed) Watkinsville; Seven grandchildren, Chris Orr (Jennifer), Jody Orr, Mike Orr (Shana), Andy Cotter ( Rachel), Clay Cotter (Brittney), Harrison Cotter, and Amanda Stanton; Four great-grandchildren, Ali Stanton, Levi Cotter, Willa Louise Cotter, and Bailey Ann Cotter. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Orr may be made to the charity of your choice. A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur is in charge of arrangements.
