Patsy Jean Mitchell

Mrs. Patsy Jean Mitchell, age 70, of Covington, Georgia passed away peacefully at home on November 30th, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis H. Richardson, mother, Mary Margie Fincher, stepfather, Lonnie B. Fincher, and brother, Thomas. L Richardson. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry M. Mitchell; sons, James Mitchell, and Jason Mitchell and his wife, Rachel; grandchildren, David Mitchell, Kaylee Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell, and Mason Mitchell; brothers, Russell Richardson and Jerry Richardson and his wife, Jane; sisters, Mary Jane Clay and Sheila Jones; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mitchell was employed as a Human Resource Specialist for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and retired after 38 years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother, "Nana", and sister.

She loved watching football, the Braves, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
