Patty Duarte, Md

Dr. Patty S. Duarte, MD, born to Lena and Logan Scarborough, was the oldest of two children. She grew up in Wool Market, Mississippi. Patty received her Medical degree from Tulane University. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In the mid 1950's and opened up a medical practice in Decatur Ga with her late husband Carlos R. Duarte.

Patty was a very gracious and kind person. If she knew there was someone in need, she was always there to offer her help. Knowing that she had helped someone, made her day. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hardy laugh, sweet smile and gentle presence will be missed.

Patty is survived by her brother, Sidney Scarborough; son, Carlos R. Duarte II; granddaughter, Christina Duarte; great granddaughter, Nylah Duarte; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
