Paul Floyd Kirton

Paul F. Kirton, Jr.,68, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Golden Living Dunwoody, Atlanta, GA. A native of Marion, SC and a graduate of Marion High School, Paul was born December 5, 1945. He was pre-deceased by parents, Paul F. and Susie Kirton, as well as brothers, Richard James Kirton and John Iverson Kirton. Paul was retired as a manager of Littrel Ace Hardware and was in management at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. His most valued achievement was his close friendships developed over the years, including special friend, Maria Pedraza (Lola). Paul enjoyed collecting model cars, art and heirloom furniture, as well as traveling and entertaining. Survivors include sisters, Barbara Beringer of Lynchburg, SC, Dorothy Holcombe (Bob) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jacqueline Rogers of Florence, SC, Peggy Chaigne (Jean Luc) of Marion, SC, and brother, Gregory Kirton (Bibiana) of Chattanooga, TN, and several nieces and nephews who were close to Paul's heart. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Heart Association. A celebration of Paul's life and reception will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 15 with visitation starting at 1:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
