Peggy Ruth Kerr

March 2, 1932 — September 15, 2020

Peggy was born in Piedmont, AL on March 2, 1932 to G. Robert Kerr and Myrtle E. Kerr. She passed away on September 15, 2020 at Pruitt Health - Decatur.
Peggy required around the clock care, as she was from an early age disabled; a responsibility assumed by her loving and caring family. Later in life “Care-Givers” were provided and Peggy was loved by all who came to know her and she engaged and bonded with all who assisted in her care. She was loving, lovable and happy, providing many hours of joy and inspiration to family and friends; especially at her frequent “Birthday Parties.”
Peggy is survived by her brother, Bob Kerr; sister, Nona Thomas; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at A.S. Turner and Sons and funeral services will begin at 2 p.m in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillandale Cemetery.
The funeral service can also be viewed live on the A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home Facebook Page.
