Phyllis C. Curry

Phyllis C. Curry, age 79, of Atlanta passed away January 20, 2012. She was born March 27, 1932 in Taylor County, Iowa, the youngest of four children. She was employed as an office manager with the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch for many years until her retirement. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher, and reader of history and current affairs. Ms. Curry is survived by her son Steve Curry, daughter-in-law Lynn Curry, granddaughters Shannon Curry and Sara Curry, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Robert, James, and Byron. The family will receive friends at the A. S. Turner Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033 Friday evening, January 27, between 6:00 and 8:00. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, the Rev. Robert A. Sparks IV officiating. A reception will follow.
