Pvt. Michael Ward Shipman, Jr.

Pvt. Michael Ward Shipman, Jr., 19, of Clarkston died Friday, November 13, 2009.  He was serving in the U. S. Army and was currently stationed at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Pvt. Shipman is survived by his father, Michael Ward Shipman, Sr. and stepmother, Lassettre Shipman; mother, Regina Roxanne Olson; and sister, Regina Jessica Shipman.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11 AM at Clarkston United Methodist Church with Rev. S. Ellen Hopkins and Chaplain John Routzahn, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.  The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 8 PM Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
