Ralph A. Vanek

August 30, 1921 — January 31, 2005

Mr. Ralph A. Vanek of Loganville died Monday, January 31, 2005. Mr. Vanek was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army and participated in D Day. He was retired from Southern Bell after 40 years of service. Mr. Vanek was a member of Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church and a Shriner with the Yaarab Temple, Tucker Club. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Vanek, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate Tuck Vanek; daughters, Mrs. Linda V. Alligood of Norcross, and Sheryl Vanek White of Duluth; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews who will serve as pallbearers. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 11 a.m. Friday, February 4th, Rev. Tavye Morgan officiating .Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church, 3260 Covington Hwy, Decatur, GA 30032. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
