Rapley C. Green

Mr. Rapley C. Green of Avondale Estates, died Tuesday July 13, 2004. He served with the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War. Mr. Green was formerly in the construction business for 37 years and retired as Chief of Building Inspections for DeKalb County. He was Past Commander of Harold Byrd Post #66, American Legion.  He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Green; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Billye Green, Decatur, GA, Mark and Holly Green, San Diego, CA, Mike and Lori Green, Winder, GA; brothers, Clarence Green, Atlanta, GA, Grady Green, Loganville, GA; sisters, Fay Smith, Atlanta, GA, Annette Little, Tucker, GA, Ruth Kemlein, Atlanta, GA, Stella Wade, Decatur, GA; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.  A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Minister Henry Hastings will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to Grace Atlanta Bible Church, P. O. Box 674352, Marietta, GA 30006 or Mountain View Personal Care Home, 3675 Kensington Rd., Decatur, GA 30032. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM  Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
