Reba Sharp Purcell

Reba Purcell (Sharp) of Decatur, GA passed away on June 28, 2018 at the age of 81. Reba was born on September 27, 1936 in LaGrange, GA to Dock Hilliard and Ruby Kirby Sharp. She attended the University of Georgia. After moving to Atlanta, GA, Reba worked for the Internal Revenue Service. In retirement, Reba enjoyed watching sports, reading, and traveling. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Bruel Sharp. She is survived by her son David Holland Purcell and wife Margaret; daughter Robin Purcell Koch and husband Paul; four granddaughters Megan Purcell Patton, Lauren Marie Purcell, Courtney Lynn Purcell, and Brittany Marie Koch, and sister Betty Jay Funck and brother Bill Sharp. Visitation with her family will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, GA. Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA alongside her husband of 57 years.
